The Chateaesque Style House

The Chateaesque style--the most grandiose of the late Victorian styles was loosely based on the 15th and 16th century French chateaux of the Loire Valley.  The American versions were fashionable into the first decade of the 1990s primarily in New York and other eastern cities, but were rarely build in Los Angeles.
