Visiting the Department

The School of Public Affairs is located in the Public Affairs Building on the UCLA campus, conveniently close to the University Research Library and the food services, coffee house, and bookstore in the James LuValle Commons. The school occupies half of the 80,000-square-foot, six-story building, which faces the Franklin Murphy Sculpture Garden, the largest outdoor sculpture garden on the West Coast. The Student Commons on the third floor includes a comfortably furnished lounge, fully equipped kitchen, mailboxes, bulletin boards, and access to the third-floor terrace.

We recommend you visit our department during one of our Open Houses scheduled during the Fall Quarter for prospective students. In early April we also host an Open House for students who have been admitted into the program. Please contact the Admissions Advisor to set up an appointment to visit the department at any other time.
