Emergency Information and Procedures

This website has been developed in response to inquiries about UCLA and SPA emergency procedures and safety issues.  Below you will find information that may be helpful in the event of an emergency situation, a campus or School closure, or a building evacuation.  Additionally, you will find links to medical and psychological services, police and security services, as well as assistance agencies.   

 

Emergency Information Sources for UCLA (emergency announcements, such as campus closure, will be provided by the Chancellor’s office through the following sources):

·        Telephone Hotline:  1-800-900-UCLA

·        UCLA website: www.ucla.edu

·        Radio 810 AM (on campus and within a couple of miles of campus)

·        Channel 3 (UCLA channel on campus only)

·        E-mail: Check your e-mail for campus wide information

 

Building Evacuation Plan:

·        Evacuation plans and maps are posted in the Public Policy Building at all exits, stairwells, and elevators.  Use the nearest stairs in case of a building evacuation. 

·        Meeting Place:  In the event of an evacuation of the Public Policy Building, our designated assembly area is the plaza outside of the 1^st floor west lobby at the entrance to the Sculpture Garden.  Please convene at this spot (and find your colleagues) so that the emergency coordinators can determine if every one evacuated the building safely.
