    Woodie Tescher is a Principal and Director of Urban Planning and Design for EIP Associates, a division of PBS&J.  Mr. Tescher has a breadth of community planning and urban design experience including the General Plan Framework for the City of Los Angeles and comprehensive general plans for the cities of Sacramento, West Hollywood, Newport Beach, Beverly Hills, Huntington Beach, San Clemente, Redondo Beach, Westlake Village, and the Ontario Sphere of Influence.  He has an extensive depth of urban revitalization experience including the Specific Plan for the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, Guide for Development for Long Beach’s East Village Arts District, and Sustainability/Urban Design Plan for the Valley Boulevard mixed use corridor in San Gabriel.
 
    Mr. Tescher recently completed the planning and urban design program for the development of the new community that will support the 10th campus of the University of California at Merced.  The plan seamlessly integrates campus and community development and is grounded on principles of environmental, economic, and social sustainability.  A completely closed-cycle water capture, use, and re-use infrastructure system is a central element of this plan.
 
    Mr. Tescher is a member of the California Planning Roundtable and the recipient of the Distinguished Leadership, Professional Planner Award from the California Chapter of the American Planning Association and the Award of Honor from the Planner Emeritus Network.  He has also received numerous professional awards for general and specific plans prepared under his guidance.
